North Shore
About North Shore
The North Shore, located in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, area, has grown extensively over the last decade to a venue full of excitement befitting adults and the entire family. The North Shore is anchored by Heinz Field, home of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and PNC Park, which hosts the Pittsburgh Pirates. Both are a mere brisk walk away from the Carnegie and Andy Warhol Museums, as well as the National Aviary. The Carnegie Science Center is another family centric local. It sits right on the north bank. It has the distinction of a moored World War II submarine, available for tour, within close proximity. When the sun sets, the North Shore does not roll up its sidewalks. Popular hot spots include the, now classic, Clark Bar and Grill and the Jerome Bettis Grille 36. If you want to go clubbing, look no further than the break between PNC Park and Heinz Field. There you'll find Calico Jack's Cantina, where you can dance until you drop while jamming to a variety of hip-hop music. If you prefer to try your luck with some gambling, it would be hard to miss the controversial Rivers Casino that is located about a mile up the shore from PNC Park. Several popular lounges in the nearby vicinity include Levels, Spiral and the Drum Bar.
