The North Side in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is one of the most exciting spots of the city. It is home to many of the best attractions the city has to offer. This area was developed in the 1860's and 70's and is referred to as "The Mexican War Streets". They were given this name because all of the street names come from battles and soldiers of the 1846 Mexican War. The city has a history and was even the place where the first World Series was played! Some of the best places to visit in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania are here in the North Side area, including museums and sports stadiums. Sports enthusiasts can enjoy a football game at Heinz Field, home of the Steelers. Also, baseball fans can enjoy a game at PNC Park, home of the Pirates. A big attraction for art lovers is the Andy Warhol Museum. Some exciting places for children and adults, are the Children's Museum and the Carnegie Science Center.
