There is a thriving arts and cultural community in the area also. There are several unique restaurants in n the South Side Pittsburgh area also, you can sample almost every kind of food. There is the Grand Concourse, which is in the P&LE trains station and has been voted "Best Sunday Brunch" for several years. If it is Italian food you are after, authentic immigrant southern Italian food, visit Buca di Beppo. Served family style the dishes are absolutely huge and can be shared between 2 and 4 people. This is a very upscale elegant establish that serves Spanish continental cuisine and fresh seafood. Of course, you will also find your usual array of fast food. There are several theatres in the South Shore Pittsburgh Pennsylvania neighborhood also, the Quantum Theater, the Rex theatre for plays and musicals. If it is music your after Blues Cafe and Excuses both are blues club with live music several evenings a week. Several movie theatres are located in the neighborhood, which show the usual first run films.
